Sounds like you may have an incompatible version of the client. Check out this page and download the prog. Extract to your EQ directory and run it.
http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...kka=EQVerCheck

Hit Calculate. It should bring up something similiar to this:
Scanning Files...
Reading eqgame.exe...
Reading EQGraphicsDX9.dll...
Reading eqmain.dll...
Reading EQGFX_DX8.dll...
Reading mss32.dll...
Checksums Generated. Generating Verson Strings...
Version Number: SEQ45867
Extended Version Number: EQ3C903E04AB2F04B577F25EA81E2727A6B8291587

Now hit Suggest LS:
It should tell you if you have a compatible client or not and if so what version of EQEmu you are compatible with. If you have the pre 9/13 patch it shows this:
EQVerCheck has identified this EQ Version, SEQ45867, to be compatible with the 0.6.2 through 0.7.0 EQEmu server releases, and is available at the eqemulator.net:5998 loginserver.

Ok so I followed the instructions above, I got this reply.

QVerCheck Core 3.1.1 Loaded.

===================
EQVerCheck did not recognize your EQ Version, SEQ92067, as a compatible client with EQEMu. This could be because the latest EQEMu server does not work with the live patch, because you have installed from the EverQuest CD without patching, or because EQVerCheck's version database has become outdated.
You've already calculated your version number, SEQ92067.

Hrmm... How can I get a comatable version? I am having the same problem as original post.
