Long lag hitches

Glad to finally be back on eqemu

however something weird is going on. Ive tried looking things up and I havent read anything about it.

I randomly get long game lag hitches that last 10-20 seconds, and the computer locks up entirely at the end each time. This happens on all the servers ive tried playing on.
