Question Error 1049 <42000> --Odd Stuff--

howdy,

so i get to the guide, page 27 to be exact.

---You will now see something like this,
---If that is correct, you now need to type in the following commands.
---Create database pew;
---\u pew
---Source load_system.sql
---Source load_player.sql

I can get the first part done. But when I go to \u peq ((thinking its peq and not pew)) I get this "ERROR 1049 <42000>: Unknown database 'peq' " message.

Can't seem to get by this. I have to the best of my knowledge got all working up to this. I do have the peq-ykesha-release downloads. Not sure if I should use those instead, or how for that matter.

I can just copy the folders into the EqEmu directory if that would work.

Any idea's would be greatly appriciated. Will keep working on it for now.

Thanks

You can name your database anything you want. You just have to make sure you create one with the same name that you are trying to use.

---Create database peq;
---\u peq

Make sure you have your slash in the right direction. If you put /u peq, it won't work. You could always just type "use peq" instead and it is the same as "\u peq".

Sounds like you created the database named pew and are trying to connect to peq. You have to create peq before you can connect to it.

Use the latest ones from the PEQ website. Those are the most current.

Question Ok

I will use the ykesha ones from the PEQ website, so I am guessing that the only thing I have to change is the mysql directory.

There seemed to be less files on that download.

Will work on that when I get home. Thanks
