How would I tell what version I have? Also I'm pretty sure the last update was the one in april right before 5.7 came out where I could log into a char select but not into the world.

eqgame.exe and eqmain.dll are generally the two key files that are patched. To find the date of yours, do start/run/cmd, cd to your EQ client folder and dir them, e.g.

Code:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\Documents and Settings\Steve.P4>cd \eqmarch

C:\eqmarch>dir eqgame.exe eqmain.dll
Volume in drive C has no label.
 Volume Serial Number is 387D-515D

 Directory of C:\eqmarch

05/05/2004 03:15 2,252,800 eqgame.exe

 Directory of C:\eqmarch

06/05/2004 09:50 843,776 eqmain.dll
               2 File(s) 3,096,576 bytes
               0 Dir(s) 4,995,133,440 bytes free

C:\eqmarch>
Those are the dates of my files that work with EQEmu.
