Well i set my EQhost to Host=eqemulator.net:5995 and i also tryed 5994 and nothing works. so i dont know if its still broken . i was just wondering

Also having same problem ...have tried ever suggestion on the forums and followed the TuT to the letter ... and still getting Error: timeout occured

Timeout Errors are caused by Several things.

1) Patching. If you patched on 12/15/04 you CANNOT play period.

2) Make sure eqhost.txt is READ ONLY.

3) Make sure the L in Login and the S in Server are CAPITALIZED in eqhost.txt. Example:

4) Make sure that the H in Host is CAPITALIZED in eqhost.txt. Example:

5) Make sure there are NO EXTRA SPACES at the BEGINNING or END of lines in eqhost.txt. To do this, click to the right of the end of each line and see where the Blinking line lies. If it is BEYOND the end of the line of text, delete all extra spaces.

Make sure that is all ok.
