I spent the majority of yesterday tackling a problem that was relatively non-existent. Turns out the stars aligned and created an illusion that there was an issue loading character data. Biggest waste of time ever :P at least I found a few bugs during.

I spent last night setting up the virtual machine. There's a few more tweaks but the closed alpha server should go up late tonight (PST). You'll need a RoF2 client and these files. This testing phase will be primarily concentrated on code (we're going to break things together, wee) until more content exists. There's approximately 1,000~ recreated and new spells, 1,400 grids, 35~ zones more or less populated, but a lot of data exists as a shell currently. If you're a more specialized EQEmu individual that's interested I'd rather have you wait until a more finished product. I'll definitely need your expertise then If you're not, don't worry, I need your feedback and ideas just as much if not more!

Oh, and I uploaded a new video demonstrating a new spell. Nothing special I just didn't want to become lazy and not post anything else.

just wanted to say, I'm looking forward to playing on this new server when it's ready to go live. Sounds very interesting with a change of pace from normal eq yet retaining that eq flavor. I've never been a tester on anything, so I think it best I don't do that. Good luck in your development hope to join soon.
