Default is this an add on

:

So I am using a DB already(and you may have answered this but I am dense. I did read the post yaaaayyyy!)

Is this an addon?

Can i source this into my existing db?

or do I have to start over? (which I dont mind doing...)

Will I be able to have those few zones with moving npc's and sill
have the non-moving ones in all the other zones????

ORRRRRR.....

If I just start over and use only this database, do I have to use any other? to get what Im looking for??????

am i asking too many questions???

(oh darn i've gone cross-eyed...)

Default sorry to say..........

It would be easiest to just resource this DB, add character info, and run it.
It already has all the DB updates included to run with the 0441 exe's.
If you use the EXE's that are in the link , the aggro, npc casting and pathing in 17 zones are functional.
Plus, if you grab Drawdes Quests0.1 (newest one), the quests work also.
Bear in mind this is an alpha release , alot of npc Z's are off , and it's a bit buggy in a few zones.
But all in all it's not too bad , and it's kinda fun to have a 1/2 dozen npcs wander up and attack you out of the blue
It's an "in the works " project, updates will come as fast as I can get the zones cleaned up and get the npcs starting Z's corrected and waypoints added to correct some of the "walking thru walls and trees action" so it plays out a little better.
Any feedback is welcomed , any help appreciated

Default You are the king!

I just dumped my old DB and used this one. What a blast!
Npc's casting huge buffs on me as I walk by, and the aggro is so cool. NICE WORK!!!!

Default Glad you like it....

Glad you like it ednecro, give a big hand to Drawde for his awesome DB and npc enhancemants, his stuff makes it all worth doing.
The next updates may be awhile in coming , but should be a whole lot smoother

fnemo, if you'd like to put the file up on a link and mirror them , feel free, they are for all to enjoy

as always, any feedback welcomed, any help appreciated.

Default right you are...

I do want to give credit where credit is due. I wish I knew more about working with sql or I could try and offer some help. But I am sure every newbie would agree that you guys are the bomb for sharing these with us. And it looks like all of your hard work is paying off. I wish there was more I could do to help all you guys. What funny is even on eq live i still make my same dumb warrior , and run around in the same old zones. I honestly have just as much fun playing on a local emu setup as i do soloing in eqlive if not more fun because I get to play GM. (kind of like pretending to be MVP of the year in your backyard...)

I am about 3 weeks away from broadband, and I will be building a smokin machine. Perhaps I can help by adding a server to the public list. Not really sure what all is involved with that.

So once again I slobber my praises onto the board, for the dev team and you folks who put together these ruling DB's, someday I will find a more substantial way to give back to the community here.

I just ran this database today and was quite happy to see faction working. that has been my primary problem as of late. I am not sure yet if the moving mobs will replace my allmost complete databse yet but it was fun to test. I did have a scary situation when I zoned into befallen at level 8 and found myself knee deep in agro on the bottom floor, needless to say I had to work on some of your zone points

This is very nice work and I think it is great to see everyone working together on a common goal. I say that because I am curently watching the progress of the closest DAoC emulator being worked on and they are doing the work alone and keeping the source private. which is making it a long process.

EQEMU has been lots of fun to work on and has also had much cooperation. Keep up the excellant work.

I finally got this to work

I now see a few mobs moving and the NPC casting spells is nice to see but a few questions for ya.

I only see a few mobs moving on there own but not one single npc is moving.

Also the mobs seems to have a 'rubber band' effect when they are moving.

Is this normal? for the rubber band effect and for no NPCs to move or have I done something wrong? Be nice to have some newbie read me files with all these excellent add-ons

Default still very early stages......

This is actually a work in progress, not all zones are set up, and not all the npc's in the "moving" zones are set to move.
I'm working on correcting the starting Z's and adding waypoints to try to smooth out the movement, but my time right now is very limited as my wife has just undergone a major cancer surgery and I am dedicating as much time as I can to being with her in the hospital.
I hope to have some finished zones ready for release in the near future, it's been kinda hard for me to work on it a lot as I've been staying with relatives near the hospital , and I don't have all my "toys" with me.
Please bear with me and hopefully I can get us some real smooth movement going in the next week or 2.

Default God's Speed and Prayers for recovery.

I have no idea of your religion or your wife's but I pray that all goes well and that she gets well quickly.

I love the work you have done so far on the database and movement and I look forward to seeing updates in the future. But more than that I hope to see a message soon that your wife is well and your family can return to normal life.

Well wishes,
Griston

I recently updated my database to the latest one from Drawde, changed out the exe's with 4.3's for the aggro, sourced in the plane of fire update, and sourced in the npccasting update. I want to put the npcmoving update in also, but this looks like an entire database. What sections would I need to pull out and source just to add the moving mobs component out of this?

tcsmyworld, I hope everything is ok for you and your wife. Your family is in our thoughts...
