Thats correct. because we have them dropping from non-fabled difficulty npcs, there is no justification for them to mudflate the players.

this way, you can have one item, and you have to sacrifice it in order to pickup a new one. it keeps people from doing what they did during first half of beta and during alpha testing, which was to just spend all their time looking for fabled loot ignoring the quests, the regular stuff, and sharing camps

this comes into play alot more later on, when you are able to get the ntov / sleeper fabled items, a single one of those items, in some cases is as good as an entire set of gear from those same zones - and having a full set kind of diminishes the player race-class-deity differentation mechanics we've implemented.

Everytime I try to make a character here when I hit the create button it simply crashes the game. I even tried to make a standard character, Half Elf Ranger, no odd race / class combo and still get the crash.

Dingoo can you tell me your time zone and when you tried to.make a char so i can debug.

Also, are you using custom files?


Server is rock solid for titanium and sod. provided you dont tinker with your spells file and other resources

I had a similar problem a few days ago. I accidentally made my guy a wizard instead of monk, so I camped out, deleted him, and tried remaking him.

Shortly after this (central time), I tried making an Iskar Monk a few times and it kept disconnecting me from the server instead of creating the character. When I'd try to log back in, the character screen would be empty. Then I made a Dwarf Monk and it worked out just fine.

That's when I made the character that worked, so it happened between those times.

Worked out for the best though, dwarf monk is much cooler. You can flip and FD ;p

Any issues with race/class/diety combos not creating can sometimes be fixed by changing your starting stat assignations. I was having issues the other day and that was the problem for me.

That could be why changing to a different race worked.

What I did when trying to make an Iksar monk was first unassign all of the points, pushed STR up as high as it would go, then put the rest into STA. I guess it's possible the STR value was considered too high for the race? I dunno.

caster focii have been multiplied by x4 for the following focii:

Damage increase focii
damage over time duration focii
spell range focii
spell resist focii


caster pets have have a boost,
top end pets now have unique graphics
the mage epic pet has been beefed

a group of 3 players today killed nagafen with a mage pet as tank.

Work on MDB, as of now, has ceased.
Life pacmanned the hell out of me, and Davood's time.
We will be bringing a new creation back to life within the following months.
Thank you to everyone who played, and tested for us.
I will keep a backup of the accounts to know who helped and you will receive a reward when our new project comes around.

don't stop playing, what we have learned from customizing the current MDB incarnation is being streamlined into the new product...

more details.. eventually, we are in the planning phase, some proof of concept stuff is done but nowhere near an alpha stage, if you are sneaky you may find our pre-alpha server running in the server list, but its mostly down while we do designwork

Hai guys!

If you make database changes while the server is running, it will prevent gear from loading into newly booted zones. To resolve the issue, simply restart your server.
