Talking User Interface and Perl?

Has anyone been able to interact with the user interface using perl scripting? What I mean by that is like for example, when you are in the tutorial zone, can you create pop-up windows and / or populate the quest journal with tasks?

I may have an idea on how to do this, just checking if anyone has attempted it.

Like how do you mean? The UI windows are client side. Do you mean simply a request to open them?

C++ is wonderful.
