Arrow Zone System

Can someone explain to me how the zone system works? For example I am under the impression they there are dynamic and static zones. Coming from a network backgroung I understand the difference between the two. What I dont get is how it applies to EQEmu. Say I log into the server, and I have the boot5zone script running. When I log in does that mean that if I log into the server and I am in freeportw, it will automatically load freeportw when i enter the zone and unload it when i leave? Does i mean it loads a few zones around me as well for a quick zoning experience? Can someone explain?

Zones are asleep unless one of 2 things happen

#1 A player enters that zone, so if there is already one person in that zone you join them, if there isnt anyone in a zone before you you boot a new zone up.

#2 the server owner wants a specific zone up always then they set it up as a static zone and no matter if there is a player in it or not it will never *sleep*.
