Default Decoding the EQ item links?

Hello,

I've been trying to decode the item links myself and, surely, this work has already been done.

When someone links (for example), an unaugmented 'Barbed Dragonscale Boots' in EQ, your client sees this:

0025029-00001-00001-00001-0000117A3671EBarbed Dragonscale Boots

The augmented one looks like this:

0025029041027-00001-00001-00001-0000117A3671EBarbed Dragonscale Boots

I am really only concerned with re-creating the numbers.

Of the string: "0025029-00001-00001-00001-0000117A3671E", I am having trouble with the last fields.

Obviously 25029 is the item ID number.
I'm guessing the 00001 fields are all blank augment slots.

What is "17A3671E"?

Possibly a crc32 or md5 of the full item name and information?

Thanks

I thought I saw something on the forums about this...and I found it. Not sure if this is still valid, but this was a feature added to 044 by Killspree:
