Black Screen at Character Log In - Page 2

Make all your zones that have mobs in them static. I did this and it solved the black screen hang problem. Seems there is a problem in the current version with dynamic zones that are populated /shrug

In boot5zones.bat, replace the . with the zone's short name. So

start zone . cavedude.2mydns.com 7995 192.168.2.5

would become

start zone rivervale cavedude.2mydns.com 7995 192.168.2.5

I have the problem whether I am behind my router or directly connected to the modem. That was one of the first things I tried.

Both my router and my server are behind the firewall. I had to do the NAT workaround to connect from inside my network.

ok finaly got my server up

everything is going great, got all the zones loaded up to oow, characters log in and play fine, full aggro, loot, mobs (all but the expansion zones) they actually camp out in 30 seconds instead of just disconnecting, all item charges are good, no errors in the world.exe or the boot5zones. thanks for everyone that helped me out. i would post the database, but its like a 72 MB file.
