Default editing classic database spells

Greets. I've been around on the forums for a while and played a few different servers. Thought it was time to try it out for myself. I started with ax_classic db and have been making changes to mimic a near release state of npcs.

I am trying to revert spells back to their original state, e.g. minor healing (pal 9) instead of (pal 6), as well as the rest of them.

I made modifications to spells_us.txt using the Spell_Editor from GeorgeS page for an test spell (minor healing). From the server pc, it worked fine. From another pc and install, it still showed the spell as lvl 6.

My question here is how do i edit spells in a way that people who connect to my server will use the edited versions? I assume its from the spells_us.txt, i have a copy in /eqemu and a copy in /everquest.

Any help would be much appreciated, I hope to make contributions soon.

p.s. wtt for CT1.0

BOTH client AND server MUST have updated spell files otherwise it won't work
by "client" i mean all and any players who conect to the server not just you
