Question Cvs?

what exactly is cvs and whats the point of it i know it has somthin to do with dlin of the source code files can someone elaborate for me

It's the source code checkin system emu uses so that multiple devs can be working on different files and then submit their changes with minimal chance of stepping on each others toes.

hrm so in short it lets u update specific files in ur server(like a custom one) to update from one version to another

Well last time I checked it doesn't let "u" or me or most of us update anything :P But it's a near-real-time snapshot of the emu devs' changing the code as they work on their various stuff and is available for you to download read-only at anytime you want.
