Default Doing an update then CRUSH!

Hey guys, so I did the update to get buffs to hold when you zone vs losing the buffs when you zoned each time. after getting my server backed up, i did the update, loaded it up, logged in everything about my server bysides accounts, names, items on players was gone / altered/ changed.

I went in and droped the tables (mobs, starting items, starting zones, grid entries, items, and loot tables) and replaced them with my servers, and this happened when i attempted to reload the server with my server settings.

It seems that your shared_memory.exe is crashing when loading spells, is your spells_new table corrupt or does it have any incorrect values such as an outrageously high ID or and id of 0 or anything that would throw an error and cause shared_memory.exe to crash? I had a similar issue earlier because I cleared my entire loot table so I couldn't log in due to shared_memory.exe crashing before finishing.

Here are the errors related to spells crashing it:
Code:
[07.18. - 13:32:20] c:\eq\source\common\shareddb.cpp (1743): SharedDatabase::LoadSpells
[07.18. - 13:32:20] c:\eq\source\shared_memory\spells.cpp (41): LoadSpells
[07.18. - 13:32:20] c:\eq\source\shared_memory\main.cpp (154): main

Them dang spells.

I reverted back to old server to allow folks to play again (even without buffs every time you buff!)

Ill work on building a new server and sql again and not update the spell file and let you know how it goes.

It appears it all works fine, before I place my tables in there, the server loads in just fine no errors nothing. works well...

After applying my tables(droping current ones and using mysql to place the table back in there), skills caps, mobs, loot drops, and tables, merchants etc suddenly The zone is unavailable Appears no matter what....What cures this problem?

Looking at World.exe and usc.exe they both say the same thing, [Status] Using database 'my db name here' at 127.0.0.1 : 3306 While the 3rd window just saying sleeping (since im not logged in.)

It is a database issue with your old tables versus the new ones. chances are there are some missing brackets ect in some of those tables or the modifications you made to your previous table may be having an impact on the current mobs ect.

You're right, Currently I cant get 2 tables to work right and would like to since its the core of what my project is those 2 tables are

Spawngroup (with this old table, I cant no longer load any zones)
NPC_type (with this old table, mobs dont appear in ANY zone)

These 2 tables Id like to get back up and running what should I do?

Check your logs for query errors, then look at the updates you might have missed that add/modify the fields from the errors.

I just drop the whole table completely, and source in the old one, if fails to load just drop the old and place back in the new updated one...how would i combine the two tables updating my table with the new ones(with the applied updates)?

Sorta hard to keep my work when it can all be lost each update...would like to know how to do for other updates that stop other tables from loading.

Any help would be great!
