Before You Begin 📝
System Requirements :
DirectX 9 is required. Do not skip if you have newer installed.
Windows 7 and earlier are not supported by the patcher.
Storage and Download :
Ensure you have approximately 9.5 GB of free space on the drive where Steam is installed.
The total download size (before patching) should be 8.91 GB, 8,720 files, and 57 folders .
Download Process :
The Steam console does not show a progress bar , but you can track the download by right-clicking the folder and selecting Properties (Alt+Enter).
If files are missing after you receive the completion message, restart your PC and try downloading again.
Other Considerations :
Download speeds may be throttled by Steam, so the process could take 1-3 hours .
Steam console downloads may ignore your drive settings and default to your primary drive.
Step 1: Install ROF2 Client via Steam Console ♨️⬇️

EverQuest on Steam

%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\content\app_205710\depot_205711
Move and rename the folder :
Move the folder to a location of your choice and rename it to something like 'Dalaya.'
Avoid leaving it in Program Files (x86) to prevent needing to run the patcher as Administrator.
Step 2: Create Your Account 👋
To log into the game, you need an account. You can either create a Dalaya account or use an existing EQEmu account . Your login is case sensitive.
Account Recommendations:
Create one account per character .
Use an email address that you’ll have long-term access to .
Avoid .edu or temporary/fake email addresses.
Some services like Google may purge inactive accounts, so choose an address you check regularly.
Consider a naming scheme that helps you easily remember which account corresponds to which character.
Example: A Gnome Paladin named Bob could use juffPal or juffBob instead of something generic like juff2 .
