Default My server runs on lan but not through internet

been getting this problem since i started on this server thingy, i have my minilogin working fine on another server with the new peq yekesha beta 1 and this server runs well and is up and going on the server list and i can connect through my internal lan and i am sure it is a networking problem but i am not sure where in my config.xl/loginserver scripts i am going wrong, i have gone through the forum pretty good and for the most part with slight modifications i have gotten my server up and running, which is listed THE BLACK HAND, but when i get a friend to try to connect or my brother from his place they get bumped out to the main login screen but they see the server fine, if someone can kinda guide me a bit with where i am going wrong, that would be great and thank in advance

i believe you need 9000 open too. i had similar issues until i opened 9000 (in addition to the zone ports and 5998/9.

Default Public server

And on the public server settings I believe you really don't need to change the two address entries at the top, maybe just the default .ini settings also. Try this if your port forwarding doesnt work =)

ok added port 9000 and took out the ip's on the top fields of eqemu_config.xml and the ip in the loginserver.ini in world address field and booted up the server again and seems to let me in now, thanks for the help guys, i know i have some opcode errors happening upon logout, kinda weird but will look into it later.

thanks again for pointing me into the right direction

thought i would keep this one on the same thread as it is dealing with the same server, as i said i was getting a couple opcode errors, and i have been trying to tweek things as i go, so i been logging in and out to see if the issue would resolve itself and reboot the server and re-run the eqemu from a fresh boot, ok so in total i am getting 4 errors two on boot..

[error] starting log: logs/eqemu_error_world_2320.log
[error] could not load eqtime file eqtime.cfg - []

and two on logging out of the world server

[debug] [world_client_err] bakersman: recieved unknown EQApplicationPacket
[debug] [world_client_err] [OpCode OP_WorldLogout (0x771 Size=0]
