How can I get into those zones?

Only if the Server operator has the Current DB. If not it will probably just be an empty Zone..

Well, I use the MW beta database plus the Myra Databases added on top.

There is NOTHING at all in them, not even the new interactive items like chests and coffins you can open.

What databases have the LDoN information?

I wish, they banned me from the live servers over a year ago, maybe been two years.

You might remember when they introduced the speed bug? When you zoned there was a chance that your character would run at GM speed. Well, I got caught kiting a giant that attacked me while under the influence of that bug and they banned me.

I bought the account off ebay for like 200 dollars early on at around level 45, I spent untold hours getting to level 54, spent a long time negotiating with uber guilds to help me get my epics, finally got my epics and a week later I got banned.

The first thing is that I hate POLITICS in game. If you are not part of the UBER guild you get nothing in the game, second is that it was a bug they introduced and they did not even give me the benifit of a temporary suspension, it was a ban.

SOE can go do many nasty evil things inside their body cavities before I spend any more money on their games.

buying accounts is a no no in the eyes of SOE you broke the rules so even if it weren't for that speed bug you should have been banned and dont complain about the time it took you to get to 54 from 45 me and my friends and guildmates spent untold amount of hours compared to amount of hours you may have spent......err sorry about trailing off topic, ebayers just piss me off =/

This was pre sony cracking down on account sales, so my account was valid at time of purchase, and therefore for the rest of its existance.

no it wasn't even before sony was cracking down on account sells it was still against the rules that means your account was not valid.

Accounts created iin the first three or four months of the roll out of everquest were originally EXEMPT from the ban on selling because the EULA did not start out saying anything about it. Eventually SOE did a crackdown on all future sales, got agreements with EBAY so they could cancel bidding on accounts.

The fact is that my account was fully valid, fully ligitimate, and up to that point did not have a single conflict with an GMs what so ever. SOE has piss poor CS, very poor methods of creating so called BALANCE, took a game created to be fun by groups and turned it into a political monstrocity, and nothing you can say or do will change the fact that by the time I did get banned, the game was no longer ANY FUN.

I doubt I will create a new account, spend months leveling up so I can scope out dungeons, so I think that this thread is finished.

even playing casually you can get to 65 in less than 3 months.

I know i got to 55 in about 2 weeks. I would be 65 but i only log on a few days a week and i usually don't play that character.

not true, ive played for 3 years + and my highest on EQ Live is 50, no alts, no nothing but that character casually playing

Back when I was still playing live I could get people to 50+ in 3-4 days. Of corse that was using my shammy to PL.

Took me about 6 weeks to get my shammy to 60 with no PL involved, and the record was a Mage who made it to 60 in 3 weeks with no Pl, so it is very possable. You just need to know where to go.

One thing I think you may miss though is how long did it take to find out where to go and how to play. Was that after a year or more of playing? You said no PL, but what about twinking? Server has some to do with it. I have seen good exp camps that were worthless because they were ALWAYS over camped. You just could not get enough mobs to level fast.


Personally I played a warrior to 54, took about a year of average playing. Plus I had several alts, and did lots of tradeskills/quests. I think /played was about 60 days on him.

A little definetly not that 100K+ twinking but I was given handmedown gear from guildies.

I agree 100% with that one, I was up at wierd hours so I was able to get the good camps.

the day LoY came out a froglok cleric named Faahy was PLed to 65 and got his epic, maxed spells, Full Gear, and 141 AA's all in 4 days.

On-topic -- Besides the dungeons, how come the Augments are spawnable (#si) but .. there's no way in hell to use them? Besides the usual "it's not in the db.."..

Off-topic -- Takes me 2 days to get a toon to 60 with my Druid if I try.. Make it a week for 65 and Class AA. :o
