Hello everyone, since we can finally have player owned servers, I've decided to give Everquest another try.
In order to play do I need to buy another copy of EQ or can I just take my friend's? We don't need the serial number do we?

To play with eqemu, you need to have the eqlive client. The use of the client isnt free, so you have to obtain its licence. The way to obtain legally a licence is to buy everquest.
Btw, asking here where to download or to freely obtain eqemu may cause your account muchas problemas.

The "official" EQEMU Policy is, Buy your own copy of EQ.

Anything else is asking SOE to come after us for supporting warz distribution. People can get EQ however they want but on these forums there told to Buy it.

Thanks Matt :)

Anyway, saying : you can get Eqemu from your friend is the same thing as giving a warez url where you can download it.
