Tinkered with the latest release of EQEmu, sourced some of the 3rd party(if you want to call them that) db's, and everything works pretty much ok. that said, i have some questions.
1) AAXP....do the commands not work in the latest version? i tried setting AAXP and just plain giving me AA points. neither worked. also, setting "Xp to AAXP" to 100% and then just giving alot of XP doesnt do anything, either.
2) Mob behavior. I know they dont wander by default(i'm still working on that) however, most mob's behave somewhat....oddly upon spawning in a given zone(either they are swimming/walking in place, and/or facing odd directions in combat, even when i strafe to face them, they face away again...weird). is this just a limitation of the emulator i have to live with, or am i missing something?
3) this one i'm pretty sure i've figured out. Really high level boss mob's(PoP, etc) dont seem to be there. is this b/c they need to be triggered by in game events(most likely) or something else?
4) also, while i'm at it, do guards not, you know, guard? i figured by default they didnt, so i "#ai guard" 'ed them, to no avail. perhaps more sophisticated scripting is necessary?
5) is there a DB that sets loot tables for mobs? or does that all have to be done manually. i have the latest "dumpeditems.sql" sourced, and most items *are* in game, but practically every mob only drops coin.
at any rate, any pointers would be greatly appreciated. i'm pretty sure none of these were in the guides, but if i missed something, point me in the right direction and i'll leave you nice people alone =)
also, the DB's i have sourced are the 2 MW055 ones, the dumpeditems one, the doorfix one, and maybe one other, im not sure. dont know if that has any bearing on anything, though =P
