Default quick question i didnt see an answer for.

Tinkered with the latest release of EQEmu, sourced some of the 3rd party(if you want to call them that) db's, and everything works pretty much ok. that said, i have some questions.

1) AAXP....do the commands not work in the latest version? i tried setting AAXP and just plain giving me AA points. neither worked. also, setting "Xp to AAXP" to 100% and then just giving alot of XP doesnt do anything, either.

2) Mob behavior. I know they dont wander by default(i'm still working on that) however, most mob's behave somewhat....oddly upon spawning in a given zone(either they are swimming/walking in place, and/or facing odd directions in combat, even when i strafe to face them, they face away again...weird). is this just a limitation of the emulator i have to live with, or am i missing something?

3) this one i'm pretty sure i've figured out. Really high level boss mob's(PoP, etc) dont seem to be there. is this b/c they need to be triggered by in game events(most likely) or something else?

4) also, while i'm at it, do guards not, you know, guard? i figured by default they didnt, so i "#ai guard" 'ed them, to no avail. perhaps more sophisticated scripting is necessary?

5) is there a DB that sets loot tables for mobs? or does that all have to be done manually. i have the latest "dumpeditems.sql" sourced, and most items *are* in game, but practically every mob only drops coin.

at any rate, any pointers would be greatly appreciated. i'm pretty sure none of these were in the guides, but if i missed something, point me in the right direction and i'll leave you nice people alone =)

also, the DB's i have sourced are the 2 MW055 ones, the dumpeditems one, the doorfix one, and maybe one other, im not sure. dont know if that has any bearing on anything, though =P

1) AAxp doesnt work on latest server versions. The devs need packetcollects from Live to be able to work with them once again.

2) Its a known problem, however the mob direction in combat has been fixed from i think a 4th April version (get the source code from here http://cvs.biosprite.net). The other problems should be fixed shortly, as I dont think its that much of a deal. Imaging even I was able to fix the incorrect heading upon spawning of the mobs in the source.

3) Most probably they dont exist in your DB. You can either create them yourself or wait for someone else to publish a DB with these spawns.

4) I'm not sure about that. There was once a server release that NPCs actually helped you by buffing you and such. Not sure about guards, help. Maybe its a faction issue or something deeper.

5) Go to the 3rd party tools Forum and you will find at least 2 very nice loot editors there. (by Sandy and me)
