Solved my own problem, however....

When I try to log in, I get "Logging into server..." then after less than a second, I get an eqgame.exe error. Completely unpatched eq client from sony's station. I get the connection attempt in world.exe. Any ideas?

This is the eq client you need:

If your eqgame.exe or eqmain.dll is a different size than what I have listed above, you will not be able to login or play until we become live compatible.

I have the latest sonystation version, but haven't updated it. I guess that's a problem? Looks like I have some waiting to do.

so I need to update, kinda, but not upto the current update. Hmmm sucky situation.
