Ok I was reading the wrong readme. It was the one to the EQW one, sorry. I have a question now. For some reason I got eqw unzipped and made as a shortcut on my comp for easy access like the eqw readme says. I went under the eqhost.txt to change it to the necessary text and save it. Do I open eqw first before patching EQ itself? I did this and it doesnt open in eqw. I am not totally sure what the problem is. Replies greatly appreciated.

Well more of a problem. I type in eqw.exe into run and it says that the computer cannot find or that it hasnt been installed when it has. Also when running eqw from the unzipped file it just gives me a window and leaves it white without anything going on. I have read the readme on the eqw and it doesnt list any solutions for this only steps in running it. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem lately or ever when starting. Replies greatly appreciated.

You dont patch and you dont run it from the Run command window. change eqhost.txt so its right, then just double click EQW.exe (the one IN your EQ dir).

Ok I did that but when I open EQW from the unzipped file from my EQ Directory and after I changed the eqhost.txt it says couldnt start eqwgfix.exe and unable to load eqw.dll
Now I tried opening eqw.dll and it gave me a bunch of jiberish, is that supposed to happen? Replies greatly appreciated thanks

you need to extract ALL of the files from the EQW zip into your EQ dir, not just eqw.exe.

Why would you open a dll? lol
