LF help to choose a good server for myself.

Hello all,

My first post, and go figure I am asking for your guidance. I have tried a couple different servers compliments of EQEmu and overall I am impressed and I just wanted to take this opportunity to say Thank You to everyone whos hard work made it possible for me to enjoy a great game in this new way.

I am thinking I would like to play on a server that is very close to being like a legit server, but I must confess I have become a fan of the idea of Increased EXP and PP gain. Is there a server available where I can gain accelerated EXP but still enjoy the old zones I have come to love without being handed epic weapons in the earliest parts of the game? Any insight is much appreciated!

PEQ and P1999 will give you the old classic EQ feel but definitely no accelerated feel especially in project 1999. If you dont have full time 40 hour weeks to devote to Project 1999 dont even try.
I think the best server for you would be the Irreverent Server, it is a completely legit server just like live except it is 3x experience, and every 20 hours you can use a skill that increases exp rate even more for 30 minutes. Another great thing about the irreverent server is it's completely soloable, even nameds/boss mobs. I two box the server and do just fine everywhere. I would definitely give it a try. I played on Irrev's server for awhile too ... great stuff and I completely agree that it is a decent combo of Live with the grind being as bad.
