The only version of the SoD client that works with the Emu is the one from Steam. Not sure what the price for that is now though. It was at $19.99.

When I try to run EQ SoD it always tries to launch "LaunchPad" i did this once and it patched to Station so that when I trien to launch EQ it was asking me if I wanted to register with new or existing account. When I said existing it gave me a log in screen where it wanted me to user Station Name. I assumed this was Live and so deleted the install and have installed again.
When I launch eq.exe it tries to patch LaunchPad...how do I stop this patching? When I stop it it stops eq.exe launch.

Sorry, not technically proficient so I hope this is clear enough to understand my problem

what you need to do. is go to the dir that your steam installed. ie c/programs/steam/steamapps/common/everquest. and in that folder you need to make a shortcut of the eqgame.exe. then in the target window of the shortcut you need to add patchme at the end of it. then change the address in eqhost to the address in the front of the fourm. and then start eq with the shortcut you made.

here is the setup you need to follow.
