Trying to run a server from work so when I'm home I can log into it.

Problem:

Can't log into it from work, and I'm assuming can't do it from home also, since I can log into other servers on login.eqemu.net

Host IP is 192.168.1.79

We have no Firewall, just a router.

Solution:

Do I need to tinker with the router?

Probably a yes, but had to ask for the sake of laziness!
Thanks all for your help, in advance!

EQEmu does not support routers. There are SOME ways you can tweak your router to make it work but I havn't the slightest clue how to do that nor are thay guaranteed to work 100% of the time. There are a couple posts on this forum on how to setup routers but I havn't had the time to read them all in detail.

The best advice I tell everyone is to disconnect the router (or use a computer that does not have a router connected to it).

Maybe someone else here can give some insight on how to setup a router properly.

Thanks Shawn.

That was the info I needed.

Am currently the asst admin for this LAN but for some reason the NA keeps me outta the loop on what is where and the PWs to access the goodies! Soooo unless someone is gonna post a link to some good hacker progies that I can stealth into my bosses comp and extract the proper PWs, I'm done here!

Everything works according to the Readme.html

A good file indeed.

Will just have to re-rig my LAN at home.
