View Full Version : Crashing after raid mob?

Hello folks,

I have had this happen a few times now. A raid mob drops and everyone in the zone gets disconnected. I assume the zone crashes. This has happened twice on Trakanon and once on Cazic Thule (which we only beat one time).

I am not sure if it it happens when someone goes to loot or right after the mobs death. Usually trying to loot after the death and nothing happens is what makes us realize it is going down.

When we log back in there is no corpse. We are logging back in well within the corpse decay time, but whatever is going on clears the corpse and resets it's spawn timer.

Are you playing on your own server or someone else's?

Are there bots or mercs involved?

Are there any modifications to the code?

It is my server. There are bots but no mercs. Mercs are enabled but we don't use them. We have killed Trakanon 3 times that this didn't happen. Only time we killed Cazic Thule this happened. We never have trouble on other raid mobs.

I'll keep my eyes open..but, any additional info you can provide will definitely help.

(Maybe a crash log from the zone when it occurs.)

There was an issue a while back where this was happening if you grouped everyone in a raid formation. It may not be the same issue but I believe it was tied to the leader and the appointed loot member. If you're using the raid formation I'd try disbanding before anyone touches the corpse to see what happens.

Hello,

It happened again last night. This time in Plan of Disease killing Gryme. When he died we all got disconnected before anyone could loot. When we came back on the corpse was gone. I logged in as a GM and made the key so we could move on and kill Grummus. It did not crash after Grummus. Last night we did Vindicator, statue and AoW without any issues. Pasted below is what I got from the log files from last night. I hope this can help point to the problem for someone who knows more about it than myself.

Are you running in 'Release' mode?

If so, try recompiling in 'RelWithDebugInfo' or 'Debug' so that the dump can assign symbols to the entries.
