:D hi all first of all i know i suck im running windows. cant be helped thats my os. thx for all the guru help from you guys but i have a little problem im trying to get my comp as a server for eqemu. i have done all the hints and forms stratagies. but my darn mysql wont let me get into it . it runs but when i try to create eq database it says access denied to local host. call me dumb but this comuter is the local host right .when i installed mysql it asked me for a password and user name i gave it then it said creating my.ini.but it never asked me to change or do anything els. the post here say to open mysql.exe and type grant accessto localhost. but after doing so in the right syntax it still says no rights access denied to local host. if i try do use mysqladmin.exe it close on me. please help me step by step from installing mysql to change the password and give me full access. there is a stopsigh light in my taskbar and its on green so i know its connected,and when i go to show me it show the my.ini and my password and stuff the database that i have from install is mysql and test. in mysql.exe it wont even let me conect to the database or create eq database.my user name on mysql my.ini is licos- pasword march231974 same for db.ini and minilogaccounts,and host.txt,. ive tryed everything HELP PLEASE
