i have same exact problem but it does it in character select screen too. i have made it into the game 4 times but disconects me 30 seconds-5minutes after i start to play, but 99.9 percent of the time...

download this if you are using win and install, reboot and use eqemu to patch it will fix the problem.....if eqemu dosent work for you at that point patch...

install reboot and you are good...if not then use eqemu instead of eqw and you will be fine, it will clear the runtime...

Ok If You Have The Eq Disc, Reinstall EQ to a seperate directory, install eqemu into new EQ directory and you can play..if you want to speed up the eqemu patch (specially if on 56k like me :( )...

Same thing here says 4 expanions are enabled and the lucin warning screen comes up, i click ok and back to server select screen i go with a 1017 error saying i need to repatch...I tryed the EqEmu...
