Default Pets are Completely Broken

Hey all,

I updated my server to the latest codebase today and I now have a problem with pets.

1. Pets are not persistant, even though the rules say they are (zoning kills pets)
2. Pets don't acquire a name when being summoned (Zerjz`s pet)
3. Pets do not attack or respond to any commands
4. Beastlord pets are completely hosed and do not appear as anything but a tiny male human
5. We have compared database settings for pets to a working eqemu server that has the same executables
6. we are using the executables and dlls from a compile done from a github pull on 2013-08-17
7. we have created the proper directories for quests - etc.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated
