Default monsters not moving

there are a few zones where some monster NPC's will not move unless attacked. they all just stand in a line. how do i fix this and is there a way to make MORE monster npc's in a zone, cause a few are very empty

you most likely have problem with .map files
when they missing mobs effectivly BLIND - they unable to measure distance to the target or travel around

redownload entire map package - its fairly big- about 1 gig
I think its hosted on Angelox site

i have done this and they are still not moving. and now the models are turning up as human

the model turn as humans when their model is not listed in zone file to be loaded. If you haven't touch the files- then they may have got corupted - they are client side, so reinstall of EQ is recomended.

otherwise, list a few zones where your mobs are not moving then go and see if you actualy have .map files for those zones.

if they are SoF zones- most likely there are no .map files for them yet
