Not to be rude, but you need to learn a little basic DOS navigation first. Theres plenty of tutorials on the web on using DOS. You're problem is changing to the correct directory. Directories can be different, so you need to learn to use the 'cd' , change directory, and 'dir' , list directory commands to navigate there.

you probably got the progra~1 from my post, thats what works for me using windows 98 to get me to the Program Files directory, i did fail to mention that, wasn't sure if it worked with other windows or not.

Unless it was at the C:\WINDOWS directory seeing as you only typed cd.. 1 time. Then it will be incorrect, you need to be at the C:\, thats it. It is easier just to type the location of your eqgame.exe file all in quote, and then type patchme outside the quotes.

in windows XP, typing cd program files will work just like using the good ol' cd progra~1. Full folder names can now be used in place of the old DOS 8.3 compatible ones.
