God damn , y'all just don't listen. I got it, on Win98, works fine. Only problem I got right now is logging onto EVIL Megan server...It says re-run patch update...But every other server works fine. You people need to read the instructions...

i have this same problem and error 1017 loves me infact since i signed up i havent seen the inside of a server been working like crazy to get this thing up no luck yet but my mama and raise no quiters i tell you how i fixed it when i get around to fixing it

Try another ISP or disable your firewalls and routers.
