It's pretty easy to get the case wrong for the maps folder (I can't recall which is correct, and I'm not runnning a sertver atm due to having to be a good example to my kids who won't do anything except play games.... the trials of parenthood lol). Try changing the folder name from "maps" to "Maps" (or vice versa) if you do have the maps "installed".

Not all versions of winzip handle tar.gz files well.

Well, I tried changing the maps folder to "Maps" and nothing. Does something need to be tweaked?

I pretty much used the setup guide for 0.7.0 and installed everything correctly. Editing the eqemu_config.xml file is the only thing I may not have changed.

I may try to reinstall everything. Thanks for the info though.

Not take offense, but we speak about maps directory in your eqemu root directory, not the maps of eq client. We are right ?
On windows, Maps or maps is same, system don't make difference.

have you download this map pack : http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=314854 ?

Yes. I have downloaded this map pack and is in the eqemu map folder.
EQemu
-Maps
-Maps(where I have my files at)

That's how I have it set. I am curious to know what the map files have to do with the behavior of the mobs. I thought there would be different files for such a thing. Just a little confused. Sorry

There should be only one maps folder in the emu folder, and it should contain the map files. Not two like you have stated. Or did you mean something different alltogether?

If you have two folders, the emu can't find the map files.

I removed the xtra map folder, but still no change. Mobs are still all passive.
I may just reinstall everything to see if anything changes. Thx for the help though.

BTW. What version of MySQL is everyone using. Should I be using 4.0.23 or newer?
