Have you been updating the mysql and perl quest files? Do you have any custom modifications to your server?

Would indicate that the rule_values table hasn't been updated in some time, I think.

I'm running Rev 386 atm (maybe a little higher) and updated about a month ago. The rules errors started appearing after those updates. I double checked the changelog and inserted everything I could find.

The only custom things on my server are quests/items/npcs. I have modified rules and database entries but nothing outside of standard allowable parameters.

Are you using Perl10? The newest binaries require you to have the latest Perl installed in order for it to work properly.

Umm, perl510 is actually not required unless you are using binaries that are built with it. I run rev 459 with perl 5.8 just fine. But I compile myself on Linux.

chrsschb,

You've likely missed a DB update or two that needed to be applied. Check out the svn and look in the utils/sql/svn directory. Take a look at the files there and make sure you have sourced the ones you don't have. Be careful not to get ahead of your binaries because there are files in there all the way up to 447 or so I believe.

Okay, now I'm even more confused. That would probably explain why I can't even compile my own sources.

We're in need of serious documentation - at least I am. I've been running around in freakin circles like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to compile the damn thing.

I wish someone would say "Here's what you need for a 64bit compile, and here's what you need for a 32bit compile." That's all I need and ask for. We all need to start on the same page because right now, everyone is skipping around the book and no one is telling a straight story. And it's getting rather tiresome.

To be perfectly honest I attempted to compile on Windows a month or so ago and was unable to get it going. /shrug It wasn't crucial for me to get it going so I didn't worry too much about it.
