Okay, now I'm even more confused. That would probably explain why I can't even compile my own sources.

We're in need of serious documentation - at least I am. I've been running around in freakin circles like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to compile the damn thing.

I wish someone would say "Here's what you need for a 64bit compile, and here's what you need for a 32bit compile." That's all I need and ask for. We all need to start on the same page because right now, everyone is skipping around the book and no one is telling a straight story. And it's getting rather tiresome.

To be perfectly honest I attempted to compile on Windows a month or so ago and was unable to get it going. /shrug It wasn't crucial for me to get it going so I didn't worry too much about it.

That's pretty funny because my friend that's a linuxhead said how messed up the make files were for linux and how it would take too much effort and time to fix it for 64bit Linux compiles.

Either way, I'm screwed, lol.

Take a look around the board, there's a guy who posted a set of compile tools on linux that leverages the autoconf stuff. Which will probably work well for you. I don't know specifically about the 64-bit stuff since I don't use it, but it might be worth a try.

Thanks, Andrew80k. I'll dig around some more and let him know.
