11) Do not bother asking for new copies of the emulator before release or their release dates, they will not be given for any reason.

ETA= estimated time of arrival

He's not asking for a copy of it, he's asking the dev team when they think its going to be ready.

Default jeez

why dont you be mean and grumpy about it? i didnt read it properly. and i wasnt meaning to break a rule, it would just be helpful if things like eta were put up instead of kept secret. of course, its just my two cents.:p

Hmm.. Going to change my name.... Grumpcard...

hehe.. I know, Im just kidding.. Everyone be serious why dont ya!

As far as release dates.. I think it's an unreasonable expectations for free, open source developers to have to make promises on when things are going to come out. Then come May X, XXXX, everyone is screaming about why the release dates not being met. There are no promises, so there should be no expectations. These guys have alot of work to do, outside of their eqemu contributions.

There are no secrets about it, they just don't know.. They release something when they feel it's ready, they don't have a regular scedule of releases (every friday at 8 pm we will release our new version).

They try very hard to ensure these releases are complete, and as bug free as possible. So, in a nutshell, it'll be out when they think its ready to be released. EOS.

I understand completely.. It is a very cool project, and these guys have done an absolutely amazing job so far in managing it. This is kind of a unique situation right now, Verant doesnt make globally big changes like this very often, theyre gearing up for the Planes of Power, so some fundamental changes have been made in the packet architecture thats hit the emu pretty hard. I doubt it will be very long, these guys are machines when it comes to working on this stuff...

We dont make release dates or promiss the emu will be released on X date UNLESS we are completely sure it CAN be released on that day (bug free and ready to release).

If you want shotty release dates please try www.ethernalquest.org

i know ill sound like a total noob for asking these qustions, but oh well. i havent been in the emu yet so i have some important questions:

can spell scrolls be summoned?

when summoning an item, can you just type #summonitem bread or do you have to do a #searchitem bread and find the id number ?

is nature walker armor available?

is any luclin armor available and can people w/o luclin stil wear it?

Default well..

Well here are all the questions I can answer..

"can spell scrolls be summoned?"

Yes, you can summon spell scrolls.

"when summoning an item, can you just type #summonitem bread or do you have to do a #searchitem bread and find the id number ? "

You need to use the ID number of the item.

"is nature walker armor available?"

If you can find a database with the armor in it, or create it yourself using an admin tool for the DB.

"is any luclin armor available and can people w/o luclin stil wear it?"

Same with the Nature walker armor. If it is in the database, you can summon and use it.
