Default This Is COOL

WoW I wish i would have stumbled on to this sooner, hoping to learn all about how to get this up and running on my Linux machine. With EQ2 coming out and the uncertainty of "EQ Original Recipe" I am sad, but finding this could change everything. Thanks all, hope to figure out how to make this go, once I have successfully played I will be happy to make regular donations to this most excellent endeavor. I am currently visiting using my windows box, anyway am looking forward to becoming a part of this. I may even be willing to host a server at some point if that is somthing that is needed, for now tho just learning the ropes of playing would be cool.

Default everquest is going to die by hand of eqemu

well im an email i got from varint. they said that they would only close eq down after it dies down and very little people play it because they are playing everquest 2 and shit like that. well if it dies down its not going to be because of there new games. its going to be because everyone will be with us here at eqemu and say fuck you everquest ( sorry for the language)

I dont think an Emulator will close EQ down, EQ is way huge, and i dont thing anyone out there so far has got resources to match the real thing, this emulator is nice, but Full Scale EQ is the bomb so I wont be canceling my acct anytime soon, but I would like a step by step how to make it all go guide, if one exists could someone please post a link to it or just post it here? thanks in advance Nonnacrats

Trust me there will be quite a few that will not want to move to eq2 and rather keep there hard spent time and money on the character they have grown to love, Verant knows this and will play on it for every penny its worth. Maybe closing a few servers would be more realistic and transfering characters but as for letting the curtains close on eq i really dont think so .......
