Default EQEmu 0.6.1DR1 extra tools and restrictions questions...

Hi all,

I just got my server up lastnight/this morning and it appears to be working - but I want to make some changes to my server before I play in it.

For one thing - since I am on a satellite connection at home (iew), I can only play it privately, maybe with myself and a few friends on my local network - no big deal, but to make it more enjoyable to me, I would like to create a "fake" bazaar, by populating the bazaar zone with extra merchants that would sell some of the more exotic equipment at standard outrageous prices.

I've found some tutorials on here about creating merchants and such, but several are for older versions of EQEmu and use some older tools - so my first question is - what tools are compatible with 6.1 to make my life editing the DB easier?

Next question is, aside from my "GM" character to use to populate special things and such, I don't want myself (or my friends whom are aware of eqemu commands) to be able to use some of the commands like #zone, but I am not sure how to disable them. According to the webpage, the #zone, and a variety of other commands that a standard player shouldn't be able to use are available if they are rank 0+ - is there a way of changing the ability to use these commands without having to recompile the server? I ask as I am using a pre-compiled version and I really don't want to recompile if I don't have to...

Hmm, interesting - ok - I didn't have the addon.ini file, it appears to not be in the zip file that contains the 0.6.1 version, I also appear to be missing eqtime.cfg (I noticed the error last night during startup, but I ignored it at the time). I'll have to acquire those files from the 0.6.0 release.

I see mysql-front costs ~$35, the screenshots look pretty, but is it really worth it?

I made a program that does just that, you just have to enter item ID and Price, however, the prices in game are all messed up. I don't know whats wrong with the price system, but it doesn't work. I already generated a pretty large weapons merchant and i'm frustrated to no end that the prices are totally fucked.
Edit: If I ever figure out the problem (I believe it's the actual eqemu sever code) I'll upload it. It's nothing special but it sure makes it easy.
