Default eqgame.exe error

ok i haven't patched in about 6 months, changed my eqhost.txt to
[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

at first it wasn't showing any servers listed, now when i click on play after entering my password, it boots me to windows with this error. anyone know what might cause this?

I am also having that same problem. I run eqgame.exe and put in my user name/pass and click ok. Then suddenly eq crashes saying that it encountered a problem and needs to close. Could anyone post a solution to this problem? Thanks.

Thats really not good enough knowledge of when you patched... You need to know the exact version you have and see if its compatable. Sony makes certain changes on every build that breaks the emulator. Look around and you will find the version required and a tester to see what version you have. If the version is wrong your out of luck untill they fix it. Mean while if that is the problem, take the opportunity now to go ahead and patch to live and make a backup of that client.
