Default need help w/ fully offline server/client.

I am in the navy in the middle of the ocean so my resources are limited to posts and email and occasionally downloading small files.
I have set up an EQ server and fallowed the instructions down to the T and my client hangs on "logging in" screen. I have used EQVERSCHECK to find my client version (which was patched last December) and manually entered it into the login server settings in \eqdb\config. I have tried both versions of the version eqverscheck gives me to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

I had similar trouble while setting up a minilogin server. I was able to fix it by double checking the ip addresses used in the ini files for world and in boot5zones.bat. Try changing 127.0.0.1 to localhost, or even to the ip address of the local machine.

Just make sure that you are using the same name and ip scheme everywhere.

Are you getting any interesting messages from the world server when the login fails - i.e. is minilogin passing you to the world server at all?

Oh, and make sure that the database is expecting minilogin and has the username and ip address in the accounts table before you log in.
