Default NPC weapon graphic -- Question?

How do I ADD a weapon to an existing NPC? I have two NPCs I want to add weapons to, not for loot, but just for looks...I added it via #spawn I believe, but it stopped showing up...Is it the field under npc_types that says d_meele_texture1? and d_meele_texture2? Or whatever its called...close to that name...

Otherwise, how do I add it in game?

And if I were to figure out how to add it in game, all I would need to do is #npcspawn update right?

I'm also experiencing problems with this. Some people have suggesting adding a single sword to the lootdrop table, setting the equipped flag to yes with a probability of 100%. This does not seem to be working. The item shows up in their loot, but they won't wear it. However, armor appears to show up on the body, just not weapons.

Havnt tried that approach, but my armor works texture (armor) works fine, just not the weapon portion....

Again, how do I add it after #spawning them.

I useally do a #wc 7 right or #wc 8 for left hand <itemid> and it works but when they depop they lose it...
if you add it to the lootdrop they should automaticly wield it I thought.
