Except that Sony's real grudge lies with emulation stealing customers away from EQlive, and not so much that as a minor nusance becoming a major problem later on... putting out the burning leaves before they become a raging forrest fire. This is evident in their unsubtle attempts to outpace live compatibility with EQemu.

It's a classic example of a greedy buncha suits exercising their non-existant right to profit, and protecting their interests. Were it up to sony... they would shut down Blizzard, Mythic, and NCSoft through cicuit court action (stomping out competition). Let's be glad it isn't up to them.

And affirming what ciscyouc said, it's also a matter of who's willing to pay for expensive legal fees in order to prove who's within their legal rights.
