the patcher still pops up

ive been rying to get on and play the egemu, i followed the instrustins in puttin the patchme in the shortcut and rewriteing the eqhost.txt but im still conecting with the patcher can you help me with why?

make sure you are putting the patchme on the eqgame.exe not the everquest.exe

big thanks but another problem:(
i doenst let me use my cursor? (the pointy thing i think that the name)
i can get to the server page just with tab and enter but cant select a server any help?

It's a problem with windows xp sp2, there is a fix for it, just google and you'll find it. Or just alt-enter and play in windowed mode.

thanks agin but now i cant connect to any servers i tryed like 4 of them and i get an erroro every time

Every day someone comes along with the same question..And the answer is..You are NOT compatible!! You have patched beyond 9/13!!

Do NOT ask for help to fix it! If you you are really interested in this sort of thing then I suggest to GET READING!!! And stay interested! Its going to take some knowledge to know whats happening around here.

im getting error 1017 are something i didnt patch past 9/13 i read not to so i didnt dont go around insultin people if you dont know whats going on,n the other side

When the subject of this thread is that the patcher keeps coming up, that leads us to believe you HAVE in fact patched your client, regardless of whether you wanted to. Either way, if that patcher overwrote some of your DLL's, EXE's, or UI files, then you now have an incompatible client. Sorry.
