I think it has an issue with refreshing the server orders, so when it tries to match up the server id and name, it kicks you back out. I don't know if this would be the case, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to share my experience and solution.
I realized this helps sometimes - this could be part of the problem, but I think there's more to it. Lately, It just starts doing it and no matter what I do, it stays the same - then all of a sudden, it starts working again. It's frustrating, because I spend a lot of time, just trying to get past the login server.
I've also done what you have, and still get the crash. Maybe we're just messing with it so much, when it decides to work, we happen to be deleteing a file or changing, so we think it was that.
