Default EQHOT.txt not working

When i run my Everquest and get to the log in part i put in my username and pass then hit connect but it comes up with a message (Error 1010: No Host was found check that the file EQHOST.TXT exists

what is wrong?

do you have an eqhost.txt file in your everquest directory? it should have something like:

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

ya i do have the file but it still says there isn't one in there

Are you sure you don't have a file name eqhost.txt.txt (and .extension is hiden by system ?)

Wasn't there supposed to be no spaces after any of the lines too?
I hope you spelled it right, becuase you didn't in the subject here
