Default Question about logging

For some reason, ever since i played on Zeb server, something went wrong with my server login page. I quit the game after the first day of playing on Zeb (and yes its hella of fun and good but I am not really good on playing Beastlord xD) and the next day when i tried to start everquest, it only goes up to the server login (the screen where after u typed ur account name and password), then it crashed. At first i thought it was only maybe just those "sometimes" crashes but it turns out to be everytime...

Whenever i tried to start Everquest, a message pop up saying I need to renew my graphic card driver to a newer version of driver for my ATI mobility Radeon 9000 graphic card, its telling me to renew it to the version 6575 but I can never find it in the ATI official website. It can still run without renewing it. But only this crashes happened recently after I play on Zeb, before i was playing on Darktide.

Is there a way to solve this problem? im simply not able to login the game T_T....

The ATI website is a real pain to go digging through. I've had to download video card drivers myself at times; I remember once I tried downloading four sets before I found the right ones for my deprecated ATI RADEON Rage Pro 6 video card.

Also, if you are using a notebook computer, many of those vendors have the video card drivers on their website, not on the video card manufacturer's website. That is another place to look depending on your computer specs.

To me, it sounds like something got to your video drivers. All sorts of stuff can cause that; I had a crash once with a hex editor open that jacked up a fair amount of .exe files and had to reformat. A reinstall would probably fix it, since that is what the game specifically asks for...good luck finding them, though.

I'm also having this problem, even with a newly created account after using this comp and another on zeb. Crashes everytime I try to login.

I have had the same problems intermittantly hooking up to the Darktide server, so I don't think it's just Zeb. Maybe a eqemulator.net network thing? I don't now. But it is an off and on occurance.

Do not update to live. As said from the menu bar at the top,

Quote:
Titanium Now Supported - Do not patch to live
Then you'll really get yourself in a bind, and you'll have to sit on your butt for 30 minutes reinstalling everquest, and then another 30 minutes to get your visual settings and hot buttons and whatnot set up once more.

I personally have not had problems with EQ crashing ever, except when I first started due to an issue about not having enough RAM in my "giant gray box" computer. Once I bought the RAM, my computer worked fine with EqEmu. The RAM, oddly enough, was not an issue for the Live server except regarding lag.

It is possible that it was a fluke that you did not crash on Darktide beforehand. It is also possible that one of the two servers is running a different release version. Although they both say the same numbers, one might be an earlier release date/#. View the downloads section for more info on what I mean.

As for the login, it could be because of the recent issues with the login server box being silent. I believe it was redirected somehow, although you might want to check out the post (view latest news post). Perhaps the new connection is more volatile than the old one.

I did receive my first lockup on login yesterday. I tried to quick connect after that, and it logged me onto some noname server of somebody's instead of my own even more noname server. My third time I logged in successfully without the quick connect button.

Don't know what to tell you otherwise, bud. I had my own problems--I logged onto the eqemulator site to get back and going at it about 3 days after the (9/14/05, I believe) patch broke eqemulator for ~7 months. Then, my computer did not work for two months for eqemu due to RAM issues, and just a few weeks ago I finally got onto my desktop to play EQ. Just gotta be patient or keep trying. Your problems will probably get resolved shortly, though, is my guess.

I've always used my minilogin but set my server up as public to try something and I too keep having the same problems as described above, on 4 seperate machines. You get to Server select screen and eqgame gets an error and crashes. Once in a while it goes in. I use a seperate folder for my live EQ and it works fine.. just Emu and when NOT using Minilogin.

I tried deleting my eqclient.ini file and let it create a new one. This did not help. On a chance, I took my eqclient.ini file from my LIVE folder and copied it in and it appears to have solved my problems with eqgame.exe crashing.

Aramid, what was different in the two files? Was there missing settings?

Apparently there are a lot of differences as the Titanium recreated one is 9k and the live one is 29k, BUT!!!!! Now tonight at home, I'm not having ANY trouble getting in and I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING from last night to tonight.

RANDOM SEGMENTS OF CODE...... Taking over

And now this morning, I am back to crashing..... but only when logging in thru eqemulator.net. If I go thru minilogin, I am ok.

I got a buddy who's trying to use Titanium on his dual-core, and crashing at launch (I don't think he even gets to the login prompt, cuz I never see him attach to my server at all). I pointed him to the dual-core thread, so we'll see if that clears it up.

Any chance that something is amiss with the eqemulator.net LS? I seem to see lots of failed TCP connection attempts lately (which I hadn't seen in the previous month of running the emulator). Just asking, don't get all snooty.
