After reading everyones replies I tried Angelox's host insertions and it works now, able to login, post, etc, and able to visit all parts of projecteq.net through address bar.
I update my host file religiously, use this site because they update frequently:

---
but I always have this as is, as downloaded so all entries are:
127.0.0.1 somesite
etc....

I guess for some reason my pc was still trying to load up the old ip address instead of the new one. opened HOSTS file and did a find
www.projecteq.net but it didnt find any string that matched in there, however adding those two lines to the HOSTS file fixed my problem.
Anyways all I want to say is....
