Possible World.exe bug, or im a sped.

Ok. i seem to be having an issue with world.exe...
I can load eq, hop on my server, zone into one zone, and when i try to zone out of where i camped, eq crashes. Then, being that xp is nice, it comes up with a screen saying that world.exe has died. and asks if it wants an error report sent. I do know to launch zones before i zone into them, and it doesnt help. so im confused. Any help? i cant program to save my life..lol

We need some more information, please.

Is your server and client the same PC?
What are the system specs?
Can you connect to the public servers, and zone?
What version of the server are you running, and are you running the Titanium client? Since you can connect I'll assume

that you didn't patch it?
What database are you using?

ok, for the setup, i used the 7.0 wiki, im running version 7.0 emu, no i didnt patch, i havent tryed with public servers, and i can zone into the char. select, can then zone into where i left them (or was entering), but i cannot zone out from there. comp specs- AMD 1.4ghz, 512 ddr400, windows XP sp2 (updated), and a 57 gig HD...hehehe im po. As for database, im not entirely certain, (being that im a nub), but im using cavemans serverpack database? whatever the default is....Hope that isnt too confusing!..thanks for helping me!

I had the same problem when i first started playing eqemu also. I'm still not sure what i did wrong, but i fixed it by completely removing everything. and using a newer version of cavedude's database. (3.6 i believe) his newer version is much easier to install. you don't have to put in any mysql commands or anything. just load perl and mysql then the exe. for the database, after dropping in the map files and copying over the 2 spell files you're all set. good luck.

well candles, im using his newest database, and did exactly hat you just said... think im gonna try reinstalling cavedude's stuff and see what happens...hmmm... :eek:

Still world.exe dies when i zone...even if i pop the zones before i zone! any help... have alrdy reinstalled it...any other suggestions?

NM...lol thanks to everyone...reinstalling and launching the zone before i zone works! lol
