I am posting this poll for entertainment, only. Just for those people who want to guess on the ETA, so when it's released, they can feel good about themselves if they guessed correctly.

You forgot the option: The next emu comes out when the devs feel like releasing it, and not before then.

Much like the Vaskre person that ran the very same poll, talking about the ETA is getting annoying. Don't you realize how that could be pissing the developers off?

If you got pissed off / annoyed at the constant I,ME,MY sentiments in this forum.. would you rush faster to help those people out? NO! you most certainly would not. If anything you would take your time even more.

How about this, EqEmu (while being a very phenomenal progress in emu development efforts) is just a piece of software that allows EqLive addicts / followers to play everquest... not a lifestone that you must keep with you always to live a healthier life. The developers created EqEmu for themselves, and were completely nice enough to let us mess with it and share the experience. The more people run stupid polls (claiming that their just doing it for 'fun') the more I'd think the developers are willing to wait to release the emu. After all, the EqEmu Dev team has said themselves, several times, do NOT request files or information on the next release of ANYTHING! This is selfish, and could only earn you a kick in the ass, and no 0.3.4 EqEmu.

Anyone else want to be an annoying little leech and run a poll on the ETA of the probable next release of EqEmu? First do this before you do.. go to www.google.com , type in "EthernalQuest"..
then go to the most relevant site dedicated to that project. Join a forum there, and POLL AWAY!! Meanwhile, all the EqEmu dev testers and followers look forward to the next release, but substitute time in between releases with some conversation about development (either worldbuilding or quest scripting), fully knowing that patience will yield a much sweeter fruit than impatience, which can at times yield a forum ban.

and for one, this does piss me off, this pisses me off alot bub, maybe we like to know when our fellow players think the next ver will come out? and I posted my poll for the hell of it, ok? As youve noted theres not much going on around here and you have to throw a bone to the forum zombies, alright? so guess what do me a favor, stfu, get a life (besides flaming our thoughts), go out to the world, blow up your computer, and jump off a cliff

Well, the truth to my post indeed may have been harsh (try to recall what you open yourself up to when you start a poll about ETA on next release)

This has already been discussed.. You open yourself up to maximum flame if you do something that goes against what the developers stated as "annoying".

It's like this, when you want something from someone, being an impatient fool will afford you the opposite of what you orignially sought out to acquire.

I have no more patience for people that bomb the boards with negative crap. My statement was objective and had a good point to it (which was stated not once, not twice, but 3 times). I fear that if there is much more lameness (such as a poll about something entirely useless to the further development of what this board was DESIGNED FOR..) the developers may decide to stop pushing releases (honeslty, how often do you see other games getting updated, or other programs? Maybe, if you're lucky about once every month or so.. with exception to EverQuest)

So far, this project (for me) has been the easiest and most rich in feature entirely due to the fact that the developers have released TONS of builds of EqEmu. Really, are we going to bitch about how fast/slow they are releasing their already well-pushed releases? If you want something half-compatible with all types of problems that will require another 50 posts in the forum to possibly fix and drive the forum admins nuts, then keep on pushing.

If you want a momentus release with fewer bugs and more features, let them take all the time they want.. after all, what are you out? If you really want to play EqEmu Alllll that bad, then look up other threads on the forum about "restoring a backup to a previous build" and play that until EqEmu 0.3.4 (or which ever revision number) is released.

But either way, don't flame someone with all types of 10 year old dogma just because someone recognized your foolishness, and actually took the time to tell you in detail as to why they percieved you as foolish. (if you are 10, sorry

Making polls about the ETA just frestrates the Devs and distracts them, so posting polls won't give you a friggen answer to when the next ver is coming out. But, I can tell you this, IT"S NOT GOING TO MAKE IT COME OUT SOONER!! /take deep breath.
